“Let’s look at the music of our time from a different perspective and discover its unique beauty that we may find even more fascinating than the works of the Romantic era,” claim violinist Dalia Dėdinskaitė and cellist Glebas Pyšniakas. Appearing as the Vilos Trio together with Norwegian pianist Ole Christian Haagenrud, they will present their latest programme “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.”

According to the performers, “yesterday is about Piotr Tchaikovsky, today is about us, and tomorrow is Morgen. It is like a glimpse into the future, a music that stays in our minds.”

This programme will feature the fourth piano trio, entitled Morgen (Tomorrow), by the well-known Austrian contemporary composer, Johanna Doderer. Dalia and Glebas will also appear as a duo, performing the world premiere of Jurgis Juozapaitis’s new piece Intima.

Another unexpected feature of this concert is the guest performer – vibraphonist Marius Šinkūnas – who will inject more relaxing moods and play some jazz tunes and improvisations for us to relish. Together with the Vilos Trio, Marius will join in the performance of a new version of The Rain Falls Far From Us by Loreta Narvilaitė. In the second half of this concert, musicians will invite us to plunge into the depths of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Trio in A minor. This spellbinding piece of music will enthral us by its sublime beauty and immensely powerful expression of emotions.
