It is a story of friendship between the twenty-first century and Peter Pan – a journey of two adolescents into the adult world. Twists and turns in their relationship, which is perhaps the most important thing in any person’s adolescence, are portrayed in dance movements. This performance is about the process of coming of age, inner growth and (un)willingness to grow up. When does this happen: once you are awarded a place among the privileged, or when you develop the ability to accept the otherness of the other and your inner self unreservedly?
Dancers, the quartet of classical cellos and electronic music, 3D animation and modern set designs will transport the spectators of this performance to Neverland – a unique place promising of the adventures.
My Peter Pan was choreographed and directed by Agnija Šeiko. It will be musically supported by the adventurous cello quartet initiated by cellist Mindaugas Bačkus who is also supervising the musical part of this dance project. The musical score was entrusted to German composer and producer Sven Helbig who is active in the field of electronic music, often combined with classical instruments.
